Ruff & Tuff LX2 4x4

A New Breed of Neighborhood Electric Vehicle

In 2008 Ruff & Tuff introduced the first ever single motor 4x4 electric hunting vehicle. In 2009 the Ruff and Tuff 4x4 still offers the same fully independent 4 wheel suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes, (3) different Mossey Oak Camoflauge patterns and the Ruff and Tuff exclusive 50 mile range battery system. However the 2009 model was upgraded to a 19 HP motor with a programmable Curtis controller and is fully LSV Standard 500 compliant as delivered. Best of all the LX2 4x4 model qualifies for both the 50% state income tax and $5,435.68 federal income tax credits to boot.

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act (EESA) offers a tax credit for qualified plug-in electric vehicles of $2,500 PLUS $417 for every kilowatt hour in excess of 4KW. The CLX2, CLX4 and 4x4 have an 11.04 Kilowatt Hour Capacity. Based on this formula, the tax credit can be calculated as follows:
$2,500+($417x7.04)=$5435.68 Credit
